Sonny Bill Williams was spotted having a classy interaction with an Irish fan at the Stade de France on Saturday.
The boxer and former rugby league and union player was in attendance as he watched his country secure a huge result in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals. Williams went out of his way to take a photo with an Irish spectator as the young fan witnessed her team's World Cup hopes for this year come to an end after an enthralling battle in Paris.Irish fans travelled in the masses to watch the historic quarter-final with Media Relations Manager at daa, the operator of Dublin Airport, Graeme McQueen confirming the huge numbers before Saturday.
"September was the busiest ever month at Dublin Airport in terms of the number of passengers travelling to France - eclipsing even the huge numbers that went to the Euro 2016 football championship in France. Will October see that record broken again? We don't want to jinx it - so let's wait and see!", he added.
However, with the weekend's result Irish sports fans will unfortunately have to wait at least another four years if they are to see their side go one step further than ever before in the Rugby World Cup.
