The strikes have been called off last minute
Holidaymakers heading to Spain's popular hotspots can breathe a sigh of relief as the three days of strike planned have been scrapped after the USO union and airline reached an agreement.
Last night, the union announced that a pay deal was reached, confirming a 22 per cent increase in base salary over three years. A four per cent salary increase will apply backdating from March this year, as well as a 13 per cent increase in 2023 and five per cent the year after. On top of that, workers terms and conditions have also been amended in the deal. Employment contracts will be adjusted and will guarantee nine months of employed activity in comparison to the current eight months.
