Holidaymakers face more restrictions
Many families and individuals are heading overseas for their summer holidays. With that in mind, we've had a look for the latest requirements for entering one of the most popular tourism destinations for Brits.
At present, the majority of British tourists don't have to worry about yet is producing a visa. The country still permits visa-free access to British visitors for up to three months for tourism and business purposes. In any case, and regardless of the length of stay, the traveller must have at least 810 euros or its equivalent in foreign currency. The proof of funds required by the Spanish authorities includes:
Passport requirements for Spain Any British passport used for travel into Spain must be valid until three months after the planned date of departure from the Schengen territory and must have been issued during the 10 years immediately before the date of entry. If your passport was issued before 1 October 2018, extra months may have been added to its expiry date.
