At least thirteen people have died and several others left injured after a huge blaze broke out inside a nightclub in Spain, authorities have said.
The fire started at around 6am on Sunday, October 1 at the popular Teatre nightclub, in the southeastern city of Murcia, and quickly ripped through the venue, according to Spain's state news agency EFE.A video shared by Murcia's fire service showed firefighter battling to control flames inside the nightclub.
Police and emergency services worked to secure the interior of the club to avoid a possible collapse and tried to locate and identify the bodies.The local city council declared three days of mourning with flags flown at half-mast on public buildings throughout the region of Murcia.
