Nintendo has announced it'll be holding a special Direct presentation offering fans more info on paint-based Switch shooter Splatoon 3.
. There’ll be new maps, and new weapons to get to grips with, such as the Fish Stick and the Flipper Flopper., a co-operative wave based mode. In its new Next Wave guise, players will fight off waves of enemies before facing off against tough Boss Salmonids.
In addition, a full single player story mode will be a part of Splatoon 3. Though there was a single player mode in the previous entry, it came as DLC.Splatoon 3 -Limited Edition OLED Switch and Amiibo news. It’s a shame, as it’ll be the first title in the series not to have a dedicated Amiibo. Nintendo hasn’t yet definitively answered if previous Amiibo will be supported in the new game, but we’d be surprised if it didn’t.
