Clearly shaken by this discovery, Ethan explained that he and Billy were acquaintances. But knowing that this was his first real case, Ethan insisted that there was no conflict and consented to staying for the rest of the interview.
Ethan maintained a professional air as he argued that there wasn’t enough proof to charge Jordan. But later, Harriet Finch saw him looking conflicted. She told Ethan that from her knowledge of Billy, she believed he was telling the truth.
