Austrian midfielder Sprangler is still to make his debut for the club after signing a deal in Perth
St Johnstone manager Steven MacLean hopes to have Sven Sprangler, Drey Wright and Nicky Clark all available for selection at Easter Road.
Austrian midfielder Sprangler was last week back in his homeland sitting an English exam, which was part of his signing requirements. Wright and Clark, meanwhile, are building in training this week following injury and should be ready for the trip to the capital.“He will hopefully have a good week of training and be available for the weekend.MacLean added: “Sven passed his test and now we’re trying to speed up the process.“We are just waiting for that clearance to come through.“I wouldn’t have any problems playing him. He is a fit boy.
Saints skipper Liam Gordon was given the all-clear from hospital after a nasty head clash in Saturday’s defeat to Rangers. The Perth captain collided with forward Danilo when attempting to thwart him from nodding in the early opener at McDiarmid Park.Yesterday, manager Steven MacLean provided an update and said that Gordon should be available to face Hibs.“Everything came back clear. He needs to go through the protocols and he has been feeling better. If he passes all the tests, he will be available for the weekend.MacLean, reflecting on Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Rangers, admits the two goals conceded were “poor”.
