The injury happened on the third play of the game against Manasquan
Aaron Van Trease, a senior football player at St. John Vianney, came out of surgery Saturday morning after sustaining an apparent spinal injury in a Friday night game against Manasquan according to his head coach.
“Aaron was able to move his upper body, but he said he had no feeling in his lower body,” Papcun said. Linden will play its first game since McClain’s death Saturday, 1 p.m. against Perth Amboy at Tiger Stadium at Cooper Field in Linden.
