Shamrock Rovers face Molde on February 13 in the playoff round of the Europa Conference League

St Patrick’s Athletic beat Molde 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in Spain today, less than two weeks before the Norwegians face Shamrock Rovers in Europe.

The Hoops go to Molde on February 13 for the first leg of their Europa League playoff clash, before the second leg in Tallaght a week later. Stephen Kenny’s Saints are on a warm-weather training camp in Spain and pencilled in a clash with Molde, who are under new management.And Kenny said: “The players worked hard and in a really unified way. They are getting ready physically and psychologically for the season as it will be a really tough challenge this year.On the training camp itself, Kenny said: “We actually had a bit of rain in Spain which you don't travel away for! But you don't mind that either.

“You get to train on good pitches, better pitches, and at this temperature it's different to Ireland at this time of year. “
