They made off with the contents of the till
Staff at a Newtownabbey filling station were threatened with a "silver coloured firearm" during an armed robbery this morning.
Police received reports that two men entered the premises on Doagh Road at around 9.30am on Wednesday, February 15, before threatening staff before making off with tills and items. One of the men was wearing a grey tracksuit and a face covering while the other wore a black tracksuit with a face covering and made off in the direction of Rathcoole.A PSNI spokesperson said: "Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a filling station in Newtownabbey this morning, Wednesday, February 15.
"Two men, one dressed in a grey tracksuit and face covering and the other in a black tracksuit and face covering, entered the premises on Doagh Road at around 9.30am. One of the men threatened staff with a silver coloured firearm before the pair made off with the till and items from the store in the direction of Rathcoole.
