Leaving your child in the car on a hot day can be very dangerous
As the heatwave in Scotland rages on, parents are being warned that they should never leave their children in the car - even when it's in the shade.
According to Omni Calculator, it's been proven that temperatures inside a car can climb rapidly even when it's cooler outside - reaching 52C in some cases, Hull Live reports. At 19C in a light car with a few clouds in the sky Within the first hour, your child's body temperature will be 38C and hypothermia, sweating and thirst will kick in, making the child very uncomfortable.
And at 170 minutes, with a temperature of 41C, a medical emergency is declared as the child can suffer from a severe headache, dizziness, confusion, hallucinations and delirium.As the weather outside gets warmer, the situation can escalate quicker.
