DWP State Pension claimants warned dashboard issues could bring further delays

Fears have been raised that more delays could hit Government plans to launch its long awaited Pensions Dashboard.

The Pensions Dashboard Programme - which is delivering the project through a partnership involving the Department for Work and Pensions , the pensions industry and regulators - has now released its seventh progress report. It notes that no pension providers or schemes, or integrated service providers , will connect to dashboards before the current first mandatory connection deadline of August 31 and says there will be an update before Parliament’s summer recess.

He said: “Firstly, retirement is no longer just about pensions, and secondly, consumers need to know if the resources at their disposal are sufficient for the remainder of their lives. The days of downing tools, stopping work, and disappearing into retirement with a single pension plus the State Pension to support you for life have largely gone.
