Irish weather forecast: Status Orange fire warning issued as Ireland basks in 22C heat
A status orange fire warning is in place until Tuesday, as fire brigades throughout the country battled gorse and hay fires.
The Department warned that areas covered in gorse, heather, dried grasses and those associated with turf cutting are most likely to be at risk, and warned the public to remain vigilant.In Dublin and Wicklow, fire crews battled gorse and grass fires throughout Saturday.
