Ireland has been hit with multiple weather warnings as Storm Darragh approaches, bringing with it horrific rain and wind and Status Red alerts for certain counties
A number of counties have been issued with Status Red weather warnings as Storm Darragh prepares to batter Ireland with heavy rain and strong winds.

People in the affected areas should prepare appropriately now for the anticipated conditions.
Met Eireann says there will be "extremely strong and gusty northwest winds" and lists fallen trees, damage to power lines, dangerous travelling conditions, structural damage to temporary structures and wave overtopping as possible impacts.
