Things are about to take a turn...

Elsewhere on the general weather front, a mix of showers and sunny spells will appear throughout Sunday, with highest daytime temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees expected.

Sunday evening will be calmer, clearer and generally dry as temperatures drop to between zero and 5 degrees. Rain, however, will eventually form and turn heavy and thundery as per the above warning. Monday will thus kick off in wet fashion, with widespread falls of rain coupled with fresh, strong and gusty southeasterly winds. The rain won't let up as the day opens up, with the potential for flooding on the horizon.Highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees are anticipated, dropping to between zero and 5 degrees at night.Tuesday will bring scattered outbreaks of rain mostly across the north and northeast to start with, moving across the southwest as the day progresses.

The general outlook for the week ahead is to prepare for regularly unsettled conditions – rain or showers are expected on"most days" so that's nice – and for normal temperatures to be in the mix.
