Stephen Gately ’s widow Andrew Cowles has broken his silence to defend Louis Walsh after he was branded “a monster” in Boyzone ’s hit Sky documentary.

Fans watching took aim at Walsh, accusing him of riding the wave of Boyzone's success while also dishing out "cruel" treatment towards them. Andrew added that Louis isn’t “a baddie”. “I hear he came over as the baddie, but he's really not. He nearly died last year and now just wants to retire and have privacy. He made those boys and Westlife ,” he added.
