The Republic of Ireland manager turned 52 on Monday, with the FAI wishing him a happy birthday in a post on social media

However, a large number of comments were left on it calling for the under-fire boss to be sacked, resulting in some supporters calling out those who made the "embarrassing" remarks. Another person said: "Lads, will ye give the man a day off for his birthday ye bunch of digital hyenas." Asked about his future after Ireland's 4-0 win over Gibraltar earlier this month, Kenny said: "That’s out of my control, I can’t affect that. For me, I’ve got to try and get a result in Amsterdam.
