Former Ireland manager Stephen Kenny is facing up to the task of turning around the fortunes at St Patrick’s Athletic.
Stephen Kenny has identified a key area in his St Patrick’s Athletic side that needs improvement, following back-to-back defeats to Derry City and Shelbourne.
“This year they look like they have a really cohesive team, which St Patrick’s Athletic aren’t at the moment, you can sort of sense they aren’t.Kenny pointed to the comings and goings from Richmond Park during the off-season as a reason behind their struggles this year, after last year’s FAI Cup winning campaign.
“That consistency can be…with such a turnover of players, you can sense an imbalance in the squad but now we have to rectify that.” “So we have to learn from… it was a good goal from their point of view, Sean Boyd’s header, but we have to learn from that as a defensive unit.”
