Andrew Moran has missed out on the chance to link up with the senior Ireland team ahead of tomorrow’s Gibraltar clash.
Ireland boss Stephen Kenny said: “Andrew was due to join up with the squad after the Under-21 game but he got an ankle injury in the game and had to be substituted.Kenny is looking to pick up the pieces after Friday’s grim 2-0 home defeat to Greece that ended the slim hope of automatic qualification.
The picture could change again after tonight’s games, but it involves Ireland needing to lose away to Holland next month, whereas an Irish win would see Ireland miss out.
