Chicago White Sox TV analyst Steve Stone and Chicago Cubs radio play-by-play voice Pat Hughes are among the 10 finalists for the Hall of Fame’s 2023 Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in baseball broadcasting.
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. —
Stone, the 1980 AL Cy Young Award winner for the Baltimore Orioles, has broadcast White Sox games on television for 15 years after 20 years with the Cubs. He also has worked for ESPN.Hughes has been a Cubs radio broadcaster for 27 seasons after spending 1983 with the Minnesota Twins and 1984-95 with the Milwaukee Brewers.
