'This is the worst form of hurt and destruction that can be inflicted on a community and it needs to stop now.'

Families in the Albert Street area were forced to leave their homes last night after a "trail of devastation and destruction" was left behind. Police believe the vehicle to have been stolen from the Dundonald area.

In a post shared by the Falls Residents Association this morning, a spokesperson said: "A trail of devastation and destruction left behind last night with two families greatly impacted."Families having to leave their homes in subzero temperatures due to the reckless actions of a few. This is the worst form of hurt and destruction that can be inflicted on a community and it needs to stop now.

"We will continue to support the families over the coming days and weeks to have repairs carried out along with Paul Maskey MP and Christina Black."Sergeant Ferris said they received a report that a car, an Isuz Rodeo Denver, had crashed into a wall causing substantial damage in the Albert Street area at approximately 9.30pm last night."The car was recovered in the Roumania Rise area.
