A rare red weather warning is in force in parts of Scotland, leading to evacuations; a woman has died after being swept away in a river; waves as high as 20ft have been spotted on the coast, while the Scottish environment agency has warned rivers could rise by five metres.
The storm has affected much of Scotland and Ireland, with a Met Office weather warning in place until noon tomorrow. Heavy rain and high winds will also hit parts of England and Wales.
