After medics rushed into it became apparent they would be unable to bring them them down the stairs so alternative routes were considered. Cork City Fire Brigade closed off the road from Alibi to The Kino to allow them to use an aerial platform to extract the patient from the second floor window before handing them into the care of the National Ambulance Service.The road has since reopened.Traffic has now eased in the area however there are still a few knock-on delays.Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you.
