They dedicated a dance performance to Amy Dowden
BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left ‘emotional’ as the show hosts, dancers and judges paid tribute to Strictly professional Amy Dowden. The popular BBC dance show returned for a brand new series on Saturday, September 16, where the celebrities met their professional partner for the first time.
Due to her diagnosis, Amy isn’t on the BBC show as she undergoes treatment. As presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman introduced the Strictly judges and pros' performance, they paid a lovely tribute to the Welsh dancer.“We are of course missing one of our professional dancers, our gorgeous Amy Dowden is unwell and she can’t be with us for the start of the series. She’s our Welsh dragon and we know she’ll be back soon,” said Tess Daly.
“This one’s for you,” said Tess. Strictly viewers were left emotional by the tribute and sent heartfelt messages to Amy.
