Strictly Come Dancing has seen a change after week one
Strictly Come Dancing's first live show on Saturday night left fans spellbound, with viewing figures seeming to bounce back after the launch show.
On Saturday , Chris McCausland, Tasha Ghouri, Pete Wicks, Nick Knowles, Shayne Ward, and Sarah Hadland took to the dance floor with their professional partners. Meanwhile, Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke were ready to deliver harsh criticism and occasional high scores, with JLS star JB Gill topping the leaderboard with a respectable 31 points in the first week.
In the latest Strictly news, the 2024 launch show saw nearly a million fewer viewers tuning in compared to last year, with an average of just 5.5million watching on BBC One on September 14. The show's return was overshadowed by a whirlwind of controversy due to allegations of misconduct involving recently dismissed professional dancers, reports the Express.
Putting her best foot forward, Love Island's Tasha has waltzed into the lead as the favourite to win this year's glitterball trophy, with oddsmakers betting on her victory following a stunning cha cha cha performance alongside partner Aljaz Skorjanec, scoring them a 30 from the judges. Shirley Ballas at the time heaped praise on Tasha: "You are on your way to having one of the most spectacular leg actions I think I've ever seen on the show.
