'Felt a tad woozy next thing I knew I was in recovery'

One of the stars of BBC reality show Strictly Come Dancing has been rushed to hospital after 'feeling woozy'.

Reverend Richard Coles posted from hospital on social media after undergoing emergency surgery - which he described as an 'upgrade' to his spine. The 61-year-old confirmed the news last night . He wrote: "Well I totally get the thing Michael Jackson had for Propofol. Felt a tad woozy next thing I knew I was in recovery with an upgraded spine having a lovely dream about dirigibles."Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the man o9f God and panel shows shared a snap of himself in long hospital socks. Follower r Kaz replied: "Richard, I had had no idea that you are ill & in hospital. Sending you all that is good.

Also on the social media platform, fan Dr Hugh added: ""Once more unto the breech dear friends, once more; Or close the wards up with our Obstetricians dead beat. Wishing you well with whatever role you are fulfilling." Richard, who retired from the clergy a year ago, recently told the Sunday Times about his new partner, 58-year-old actor Dickie Cant. Richard said: “I wanted to go on a website where I would meet someone who was not looking for a sugar daddy, who was my age, who lived in my sort of world, who I could share my life with.”
