The Munster legend also believes Bundee Aki has been one of the standout players in the tournament so far.

Peter Stringer believes Ireland’s recent victories over top sides like France and New Zealand will give them confidence heading into Saturday’s crunch clash with South Africa.

While Ireland are ranked number one in the world, the springboks are the reigning World champions and have pedigree for performing at their best on the biggest stages. "I think about Ireland and the way they can play, and there's then these little creeping doubts that come back into my head with the discipline in the last game,” Stringer told Betway, “13 penalties they gave away, quite a few turnovers, and the lineout hasn't really functioned to the standard that they would have liked.

“It’s hard to pick one given Ireland's reliance on a couple of key guys. Look, Johnny Sexton, there's no questioning his importance to this team, I think the attitude that he has, his drive, wanting to play every single minute on the field.
