The Queen's Christmas speech of 2019 contained a subtle sign that was the 'final straw' for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, royal authors have claimed
Harry and Meghan Markle became convinced the Royal Family was sidelining them because of a subtle sign made during the Queen’s Christmas speech, authors have claimed.
The late Queen usually gave her annual Christmas speech surrounded by affectionate photographs of her family members, either at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle. Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed Harry and Meghan felt they "had long been sidelined by the institution and were not a fundamental part of its future."
It added: “But for Harry and Meghan, it had been yet another sign that they needed to consider their own path."Shortly into the new year, an official photograph released by the Royal Family was also said to have upset the couple. The image showed the late Queen and her heirs, King Charles, Prince William and Prince George.
