As well as drug searches, police spent much of their time talking with the community to raise awareness of county lines and support those affectedClass A drugs, phones, weapons and £42,000 in cash was seized in a police crackdown on county lines drug-dealing.It saw officers carry out checks on vulnerable adults, visit HM Prison Highpoint in Stradishall and work with local hotels and taxi firms.
Det Ch Insp Matt Bodmer said: "Suffolk Constabulary and its partners continue to disrupt those involved in county lines."In total 66.6g of crack cocaine, 195.8 g of cocaine, 16g of heroin, 1kg of cannabis and 1.5kg of ketamine was seizedPolice also worked with schools on an education campaign that included a role-play scenario to help children recognise what county lines drug dealing and linked criminality might look like.
County lines is the term used to describe the involvement of organised criminal networks and street gangs in moving illegal drugs.
