A major upgrade: Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim cutting the ribbon to officiate the opening of Johor Darul Ta’zim new headquarters in Johor yesterday. Looking on are Johor FA president Datuk Ismail Karim , FAM president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin , Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal and Johor state secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani .
The club’s sporting director Alistair Edwards said the stadium is expected to be completed by the end of this year and will be a world class facility. “JDT’s success and achievement are due to the efforts by the club owner Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, ” said Edwards when met during the official opening of JDT’s new headquarters by Tunku Ismail.
The former Australian footballer, however, declined to reveal the amount of investment made by JDT for the new stadium.
