The work-to-rule strike will see pilots refuse overtime or changes to rosters, affecting thousands of customers
Up to 8,000 Aer Lingus passengers are in danger of having their flights cancelled – just as the summer holiday season starts.
A statement released by Aer Lingus yesterday said the strike is an “insidious form of industrial action” and it will “severely disrupt passengers in the peak of the summer season”. Customers who are flying with Aer Lingus during these dates will be able to change their flights for free, or cancel their flight and claim a refund or voucher. Some 99% of pilots voted for the strike after Aer Lingus refused their demands for a 23.8% pay increase.
