A renowned nutrition expert has been singing the praises of a certain "superfood" that should be a staple in our daily diets. Dr Federica Amati, who is at the forefront of nutritional science and serves as the chief nutritionist for Zoe, took to Instagram to highlight the health wonders of blueberries.
She continued, "! I have to say that evidence is really good, that blueberries are a great fruit to add to your daily diet. Dr Amati highlighted the astonishing perks of snacking on blueberries, a fruit deemed as a 'superfood' by many health enthusiasts. A study showcased in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition flaunted blueberries for their ability to boost blood pressure regulation, improve functions of the endothelium , and reduce arterial rigidity, reports the Daily Record.
Spector noted: "Blueberries are a source of polyphenols that our gut flora love. But you can get the same compounds from any seasonal berries, which are often cheaper."
