Visitors can arrange autographs and photographs with their favourite stars. However, the event is not just about celebrities, with art stalls, merchandise and board games all available at the convention. The official Comic Con Twitter account began teasing the latest celebrity announcement yesterday afternoon, saying that they had been working on something which would "make many happy”. Eventually, it was announced that the celebrity in question was Jensen Ackles.
Jensen is best known for playing Dean Winchester for over a decade in TV series Supernatural. More recently he has appeared in season three of Amazon Prime series The Boys as Soldier Boy. The actor will be present on both days of the convention. Other celebrity guests confirmed for the event include Gabriel Luna from The Last of Us and Cooper Andrews from The Walking Dead.
Liverpool Comic Con will take place on October 21 and 22 at the Exhibition Centre. Information on buying a photograph and autograph with Jensen, as well as general tickets for the event, can be found on Comic Con’s website.READ NEXT:
