A former Senator, Mr Quinn was best known for founding the grocery chain
He died peacefully at his home in Howth, Co Dublin after baffling a short illness, his family confirmed this morning.In 2005 the Quinn family sold their interest in Superquinn to the Musgraves family's Supervalu chain of stores.
