The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has posted an alert for a batch of a popular canned drink. It is sold in many Irish supermarkets, including SuperValu and Tesco.
An urgent recall has been issued for a specific batch of a popular drink over fears the can could expand and burst.
The Food Safety Authority of Ireland posted an alert on Wednesday for a batch of Sisu Ginger Flavoured Organic Kombucha.The affected products have since been removed from shelves and recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale.The FSAI said: “The above batch of Sisú Ginger Flavoured Organic Kombucha Live Cultured Sparkling Drink is being recalled due to carbonation which may cause cans to expand and burst.
“Retailers are requested to remove the implicated batch from sale and display recall notices at point-of-sale.The recall affects cans with the batch code L47309 and best before end date 30/11/2024. They were sold as 330ml cans, both individually and in a case of 12.
