PHILADELPHIA — With more snow in the forecast Wednesday night into Thursday morning, essentials like shovels and ice melt are in high demand. If you need winter items like ice melt, you’re in luck.
Moorestown Hardware in Burlington County usually keeps as many as 500 snow shovels in stock. On Wednesday, it has about 1,000. “Our goal each year is to have enough product in stock to get through three sizable storms,” Bender said. “We anticipate shortages, so we stockpile and keep inventory to the max,” Dave Arici, of Fairmount Hardware, said.Still, some stores are running into problems finding certain products like sleds.
