Justice department paused hundreds of applications after teenager’s deportation order quashed on foot of ‘flawed procedure’

Hundreds of asylum applications had to be put on hold after the Supreme Court found that the decision-making process was “flawed”.

The Department of Justice had decided that he should not be given permission to remain because officials did not believe his life would be under threat from criminals in Albania.
