The Chief Medical Officer has said cases of the flu increased by 80% in the week to last Saturday, while cases of Covid 'increased rapidly in the last three days'.

The latest Respiratory Virus Surveillance report from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre showed there were 670 influenza cases in the week ending 10 December.There was also an increase in hospitalisations from the flu, up from 127 to 213, over the same period. #flu and #COVID19 cases and hospitalisations have increased.
