Holding for him is Connor Deason.On the surface, the fifth seed that the Junior Deer Park Seminoles acquired for this weekend's start to the South Texas Youth Football Association playoffs may not look impressive, but in reality it's very impressive.
The Junior Seminoles finished the regular season with an 18-0 win over the League City Cowboys at Clyde Abshier Stadium this past Saturday, completing their rags to riches regular season campaign. How does a youth football team pick itself up off the mat? For openers, it helps to play terrific defense. The Cowboys, who garnered the sixth and final seed to the playoffs, had a first down on the Seminoles' 11-yard line during their first possession of the game.
But Horton will have to keep his emotions in check now that the playoffs are here. This will be the best versus the best so success will will be harder to achieve. When the old TIFI league was around, Horton had some nice success running the offense, so he knows what it takes.
