RIO NIDO, Sonoma County — A person was shot in the Sonoma County community of Monte Rio Tuesday, and the suspect search prompted a shelter-in-place alert, the sheriff’s office said.
The shooting was in the area of Alder Road and Willow Road just south of the Russian River. Residents in the area were asked to shelter in place as deputies searched the area east of Bohemian Highway and south and east of the river.
