As the winter approaches, it is important to know the symptoms of the contagious flu strain.
People are being urged to know the signs of a highly contagious virus following the reporting of a case in Europe.
The Dutch Ministry of Health said it is not known how the virus was caused and have monitored the affected person's close contacts, with no further cases found. While many will have developed a stronger immunity towards it after the previous outbreak, getting the seasonal flu vaccine will offer stronger protection. Scotland began rolling out its winter vaccine program on September 4, with those aged 50-64 being called for appointments, according to Public Health Scotland.
While most people recover from it quite quickly, it can make vulnerable groups - like the elderly or pregnant women - seriously ill. Therefore, it is important to know the symptoms to stay healthy this winter.
