The Irish Sunday Mirror has learned that the victim, named last night as Urz Benz, had only arrived in the country on Friday, before he was killed at a house in Malahide, Dublin early Saturday morning
Gardaí were quizzing a man last night after a Swiss man who had only just arrived in Ireland was stabbed to death in a horror attack yesterday.
It is understood that the attack on Mr Benz, who was in his 60s, took place in the garden of the house on the Gainsborough Lawn estate. Local Fianna Fail Councillor Cathal Haughey said the entire town of Malahide is shocked at what has taken place. He said: “It’s not something you expect to hear on a Saturday morning and obviously our thoughts are with loved ones of the victim. It’s tragic and there’s a sense of shock within the community.”
