The Serie A side are keen to offload the Dutch frontman before the transfer window closes.
Celtic are reported to be tracking striker Sydney van Hooijdonk - and a lowball offer could seal a move to the Scottish Premiership this summer.
But that form left Bologna boss Motta unimpressed and he did not include the 23-year-old in the pre-season training camp in Spain - freezing the frontman out of the first-team picture immediately. Motta, who took over at the Italian outfit midway through last season, irked dad Pierre who took and his decision to leave Sydney out of the camp without seeing him up close.
Motta was asked about the situation of Van Hooijdonk Jr following the outburst - and only pointed the forward to the exit door. He said: "He has to find another situation for himself.
