A Syrian refugee who fled the country during unrest there and settled in Enniskillen is set to open a new ice cream shop in the town
Now Mohamad is set to move into Belmore Street in the town with his business venture, Tasty. It aims to showcase some of his favourite desserts from his home region as well as some local classics as well.Speaking to MyFermanagh, Mohamad said life had not been easy since he left his home country, but he and his family were delighted by the welcome they received here.“I left Syria with my family in 2012 and went to Egypt, and then in 2013 moved to Lebanon.
“Life in Fermanagh is very different from life in Syria but I like it here. Many people have been very friendly and helpful to me and my family, and we are grateful for the support we received.” “My new business is called 'Tasty' and it is at 46 Belmore Street in Enniskillen. I wanted to open a business which offered some of the greatest treats from my country,” Mohamad added.
