Judge considering lower bail for Takeoff's accused shooter after financial review
Patrick Clark, 33, accused in the death of Migos rapper Takeoff in downtown Houston, makes his first appearance in court on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022 at the Criminal Courthouse in Houston.following a combative appearance in court over the veracity of the defendant’s financial situation.
Police believe Clark fired the fatal shots into the crowd and that Takeoff was an innocent bystander who did not participate in the dice game or argument. Clark’s lawyer, Leticia Quinones, disagreed with arguments the photos indicate that her client has more wealth than he lets on. Judge Josh Hill agreed to finalize his decision on the bond Wednesday, as long as the defense surrenders Clark’s passport ID card. The conditions of his release will be amended to accommodate one bonding company to handle his GPS monitoring, while another posts his bond.
