Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to unveil 17 Junior Ministers today with not much change to current line-up
It is not expected there will be too many changes to the current lineup, with just two to three changes expected according to sources the Irish Mirror talked to last night.They will make way for new, up and coming Fine Gael ministers like Jennifer Carroll MacNeill and Neale Richmond, both Dublin TDs.
Fianna Fáil is not expected to make any changes to their line-up, while the Greens confirmed to the Mirror last night that they are not rotating any of their three already in position.There are currently no junior ministers, because a technicality meant that all of the sitting ones lost their position when the Government was formally dissolved last weekend.This is in addition to three ‘Super’ Junior Ministers who sit at Cabinet and were announced last Saturday.
They are Chief Whip Hildegarde Naughton from Fine Gael, former Whip Jack Chambers, who has moved to Transport, and Pippa Hackett, who retains her slot in Agriculture where she has special responsibility for biodiversity.
