Speaking in Belfast on Wednesday, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said that he was invited by Sinead O’Connor’s family to attend her funeral in Bray on Tuesday.
Dr Al-Qadri told how the legendary Nothing Compares 2 U star – who died in an apartment in London on July 26 – was “a daughter of Ireland.” “And one that made the Irish nation so proud. She reads the heart of millions of people around the world with her amazing voice and with her art and I think that is something that very few people can do but beyond that, she was an amazing human being who was always passionate about justice, passionate about having equality in society.“It is something that reflects the amazing person that Sinead O’Connor was.
