Due to the cost of living crisis, the government has rolled out cost of living packages as part of the budget over the course of the last three years.
Energy credits for all Irish households have also become the norm in recent budgets, with Budget 2025 rolling out two credits of €125 in recent months. Taoiseach Micheal Martin told RTE Radio 1 yesterday: "We’re not going to have a cost-of-living package this year, that’s the Government view.
