Being married to the corrupt businessman came with its problems and viewers will get to see the dynamic of their relationship play out in dramatic scenes.
Tara explained: "It's not that they're particularly close, but Emma and James have had to endure some turbulence so she cuts her son a bit too much slack. I think that Emma is in denial about a lot of James gets up to. Emma has arrived back in Dublin after stints in Australia and Spain, and she could leave quickly again if there is trouble with either Rafferty or James.
"She's seeing if she can trip Hayley up, just to get the measure of her and not even out of malice. She's sussing Hayley out and would be very open to liking her."
