Nicola Sturgeon has said it would be a "serious error" if the Scottish Government were to follow suit with the UK Government on new tax cuts.
Mr Kwarteng's cuts, the largest within the UK in 50 years, will scrap the 45p tax rate of the highest earners in the UK, bringing it down to 40p. “I don’t think many people would think that this is the right time to give massive tax cuts to a tiny, tiny number of already rich people.”
